Being a Part of the Solution

I tried the holoboard today. It is cool as hell. It’s definitely weird to see something that’s not there.
There are things happening here that will, one day, change our lives for the better. The studies here are critically important. I’ve made it into the one with message passing. It feels more than incredible to know that I will be a part of changing history. It actually makes me emotional.
The thing is, we are not allowed to advocate for ourselves, for the most part. We are told what to do basically our whole lives. We are never empowered to make our lives what we want. So to be able to take part in research that will someday empower us is mind-blowing. 
I want to be in every study that takes place here. I want to matter in our fight to be heard.
