Anticipation!

The gala is in a month and the excitement is building here. It’s my first one, and I can’t wait. I have to try to get as dressed up as I can manage. It’s hard for me to wear more than a collared shirt. I hear that the highlight is Judy’s presentation of us. I wonder how I will feel when my face comes up.  I have never been celebrated for the real me. I can’t imagine how I will feel at the moment. 

I am anticipating that I will feel proud, which is exciting, as I have not had much experience of that. I think that having all those people clapping for me will be amazing. It makes me have butterflies in my stomach, thinking about it. 

Something each of us needs is to feel proud of ourselves sometimes. I can’t wait to be proud of being me.
