The New Me

Today I am finally getting good at typing. It has finally clicked. Many people have tried putting boards in front of me throughout the years. None succeeded in helping me. I struggled to put the pencil in even one letter correctly. Spare me your sympathy: already my life is infinitely better. I am finally exactly where I want to be. 

Mouth to Hand is the place. Judy helped me when no one else could. I place my success on her shoulders. Really who gets the credit but the person who figured out how to help me? 

I realize that I still need to work on my spelling with her, but I have the ability to talk now. I can take classes that are fun and interesting. I am learning finally. 

Getting words out is still an effort. Regulation is still my biggest challenge. But compared to where I started, my progress is astounding. I can express myself fully. I can sit in classes. I have the ability to think clearly. I am not the same Jordan that walked into this office two years ago. I am the new and improved Jordan.
