9/26/2024 2 Comments DysregulationI am so dysregulated today. I don’t have a clue why. That’s the thing about dysregulation: there’s no rhyme or reason. Seeing Judy is the highlight of my week. Then why am I totally dysregulated? Certain things make sense, like hating school when I used to go. But most dysregulation makes zero sense. Still I can feel that spelling is calming. The thing is, you might think the opposite: it’s so hard for me, after all. The thing is, it’s the only thing that has a chance of helping. As I finish this post, I am completely calm.

Well said! I see a similar response to spelling with Zora. Sometimes it's really a struggle to start spelling and she has to work through the dysregulation to get to the calm on the other side. I'm curious if you have similar responses to other purposeful mother activities... Leave a Reply. |
